Job summary

McLean Care is seeking a casual Support Worker to join our Residential Aged Care team in Gunnedah, NSW. You will provide compassionate personal care, support residents during meals and activities, and work with nurses to ensure safe, dignified care in a home-like environment.

The role requires Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, prior aged care experience, and roster flexibility across mornings, afternoons and nights.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• Previous experience in residential aged care.
• Physical capability to safely perform manual handling duties.
• Two recent managerial referees.
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including mornings, afternoons and nights.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Supporting residents at mealtimes and helping provide a dignified dining experience.
• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ health, wellbeing or behaviour.
• Assisting with mobility, transfers and positioning.
• Maintaining safety, hygiene and infection control standards.
• Working closely with nurses and the broader care team to support quality outcomes and provide companionship.
