Job summary

Collarcare is seeking passionate Personal Care Workers to support residents in aged care facilities across the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales. You will assist with daily living activities, document resident conditions, and work closely with the nursing team.

Ideal candidates have Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, current CPR/First Aid, and are committed to infection control and compassionate care; vaccination and screenings may be required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• COVID vaccination (including booster) and immunisation status.
• 3 months minimum experience in an Australian aged care facility.
• Current Police Check and NDIS Clearance or willingness to obtain these.
• Valid work rights in Australia.
• Current CPR & First Aid.
• NDIS Worker Screening or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living including personal care and grooming.
• Document residents' condition and assist with administration of medications.
• Assist with meal consumption and monitor nutrition.
• Infection control and prevention.
• Assist the registered nurse to ensure a holistic model of care is followed at all times.
• Assist in admission and easing the transition for residents and their families.
• Liaison with residents, family, doctors and allied health.
• Acting in accordance with aged care standards on every shift.
