Job summary

Collarcare is seeking passionate Personal Care Workers to support residents in Aged Care Facilities across the Riverina & South West NSW. You will provide personal care, support daily living needs, and collaborate with the health team to ensure quality care for residents.

Ideal candidates have a Certificate III in Individual Support, current CPR/First Aid, and willing to obtain Police Check, NDIS clearance, and NDIS worker screening.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Individual Support or equivalent required.
• COVID-19 vaccination (including booster) required.
• Minimum 3 months experience in Australian aged care facility.
• Current Police Check and NDIS Clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Valid work rights in Australia required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• NDIS Worker Screening or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living including personal care and grooming.
• Document residents' condition and assist with medication administration.
• Assist with meals and monitor nutrition.
• Maintain infection control and prevention.
• Support the registered nurse to ensure holistic care.
• Help with admission and transition for residents and families.
• Liaise with residents, families, doctors and allied health.
• Act in accordance with aged care standards on every shift.

What will you be doing?

• Assisting residents with all aspects of daily living including personal care, grooming and supporting emotional needs.
• Documenting resident’s condition and assisting with the administration of medications.
• Assisting with meal consumption and monitoring nutrition.
• Infection control and prevention.
• Assisting the registered nurse to ensure a holistic model of care is followed at all times.
• Assisting in admission and easing the transition for residents and their families.
• Liaison with all stakeholders including residents, family, doctors and allied health.
• Acting in accordance with aged care standards on every shift.
