Job summary

Collarcare Group is seeking passionate Personal Care Workers to support residents in Aged Care Facilities across the Riverina and South West NSW. You will assist with daily living, grooming and emotional support, while documenting residents' conditions and assisting with medications.

Role requires a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, COVID vaccination, and Australian work rights. If you are caring, reliable and able to work with teams, we want to talk to you.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Support or equivalent is required.
• COVID vaccination including booster is required.
• Minimum 3 months experience in Australian aged care.
• Police check and NDIS clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Valid work rights.
• CPR and First Aid current.
• NDIS Worker Screening or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including personal care and grooming.
• Document residents' condition and assist with medication administration.
• Assist with meals and monitor nutrition.
• Maintain infection prevention and control.
• Support the registered nurse to deliver holistic care.
• Assist with admissions and easing transitions for residents and families.
• Liaise with residents, families, doctors and allied health.

Education

Certificate III Individual Support or Equivalent

COVID Vaccination (including booster)

3 Months minimum working within an Australian Aged Care Facility

Current Police Check and NDIS Clearance or willingness to obtain these

Valid work Rights

• Assisting residents with all aspects of daily living including personal care, grooming and supporting emotional needs.
• Documenting resident’s condition and assisting with the administration of medications.
• Assisting with meal consumption and monitoring nutrition.
• Infection control and prevention.
• Assisting the registered nurse to ensure a holistic model of care is followed at all times.
• Assisting in admission and easing the transition for residents and their families.
• Liaison with all stakeholders including residents, family, doctors and allied health.
• Acting in accordance with aged care standards on every shift.
