Job summary

BlueCare Yeppoon Capricorn Aged Care is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare, cook and present meals for residents, ensuring dietary needs are met and meals are served safely. You will join a supportive kitchen team under the Home Services Lead and work collaboratively to maintain high standards of dining and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities include following menus, ensuring IDDSI compliance, hygiene, and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Food safety knowledge and safe handling practices.
• Understanding of IDDSI, allergens and dietary requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow direction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals in line with menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure meals meet IDDSI, allergen and texture-modified needs.
• Deliver meals that are well-presented and served at the correct temperature.
• Support food preparation, portioning, plating and kitchen operations.
• Follow safe food handling, hygiene and infection control standards.
• Complete documentation including temperature checks and production records.
