Job summary

Ozcare in Malanda is seeking permanent part-time Care Assistants to support clients at our aged care facility. You’ll provide personalized care, assist clients to maintain independence, help with daily activities and medication, and work with the care team to address all aspects of client wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Be vaccinated against Influenza & at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
• National Police Check (valid within last 3 years).
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care (or equivalent).
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
• Good computer and mobile device skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans.
• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence.
• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities.
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements.
• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care.
