Job summary

Ozcare on the Gold Coast is seeking a Care Assistant to look after our clients with personalised care plans. You will provide the highest level of care, assist with daily activities, support medication needs and work as part of a holistic care team.

Ideal applicants are warm and caring, flexible with rosters and committed to promoting clients' independence. Vaccinations, police check, and Certificate III in Healthcare are required; join us to help clients live their best lives.

Qualifications

• Be vaccinated against Influenza & at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
• National Police Check (valid within last 3 years).
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care (or equivalent).
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
• Good computer and mobile device skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans.
• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence.
• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities.
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements.
• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care.
