CatholicCare Wollongong is seeking a Community Support Worker to assist NDIS participants and older adults in their own homes across the Illawarra region.

You'll provide personal care, domestic assistance, medication support, and social respite services as part of a values-driven not-for-profit team. Permanent part-time roles offer flexible days and hours with comprehensive training and development.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care/Disability) or equivalent or working towards
• Current NSW Driver's Licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• National Criminal History Check

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and grooming support tailored to individual participant needs
• Assist with domestic tasks including light cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping
• Support accurate medication administration as prescribed by a medical professional
• Provide social support and respite within participants' homes and communities
• Document participant wellbeing and report any significant changes to the care team

We are recruiting Community Support Workers to deliver personal care, domestic assistance, medication support, and social and respite services across the Illawarra region. Permanent part-time positions are available with flexibility to suit your work-life balance.

• Pay rate: $31.13 - $34.59/hour (depending on experience and qualifications) + travel time between clients + KM reimbursement + NFP Salary Packaging
• Hours: Permanent part-time - flexible days and hours
• Position type: Permanent

What you'll be doing

• Provide personal care and grooming support tailored to individual participant needs

What we're looking for

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent (desirable) - completed or working towards (fee-free course options may be available)
• Genuine commitment to supporting people with a disability and/or who are ageing
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current NSW Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle

Checks required (or willingness to obtain)

• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• National Criminal History Check

Desirable (highly regarded)

• Experience providing support in aged care or disability settings
• Experience working with people from CALD backgrounds
• Fluency in a language other than English
