We're recruiting multiple Permanent Part-Time and Casual Support Workers, with a particular focus on ADSSI's Out of Hospital Care (OHC) services across Lake Macquarie.

If you enjoy working one-to-one with clients, being out in the community and helping people maintain their independence at home, we'd love to hear from you.

About ADSSI
For more than 35 years, ADSSI has supported older Australians and people living with disability to remain safe, independent and connected in their own homes.
You'll have the stability and opportunities of an established not-for-profit organisation, while working within a local team that understands its community and values the contribution of its Support Workers.
What will you be doing? Your day may include:

  • Personal care and daily living assistance
  • Domestic assistance and household tasks
  • Meal preparation and shopping
  • Transport to appointments
  • Community access and social support
  • Medication assistance, where appropriately trained
  • Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting changes
  • Supporting clients following discharge from hospital
  • Helping clients regain confidence and independence at home

About you
You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys supporting people and understands the importance of reliability in community care.
You're comfortable working independently, communicate with kindness and respect, build trust quickly and know when something needs to be reported or escalated.
To be considered, you'll need:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and/or Disability), Aged Care or equivalent
  • Current NSW Driver Licence
  • Registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance and a safe driving record
  • First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
  • Current or willingness to obtain a National Criminal History Check, WWCC and NDIS Worker Check
  • Ability to meet ADSSI's pre-employment screening and compliance requirements

Health & Immunisation Requirements
As these opportunities include work within Out of Hospital Care, relevant health and immunisation requirements apply.
Successful candidates will be required to provide evidence of relevant immunisations as part of ADSSI's pre-employment process.

Why join ADSSI?

  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Career pathways within an established community care organisation
