Job summary

Dementia and Aged Care Services is recruiting a Community Support Assistant for the Central Coast (south) area. The role involves delivering person-centred care to clients aged 65+ in their homes, helping them stay independent and engaged with the community.

You will provide personal care, social support, meal prep, and light domestic tasks while maintaining clear documentation. A Certificate III in Aged Care is essential and a valid driver’s licence/vehicle may be required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or Community Care is essential.
• Previous experience supporting older people in a community setting is preferred.
• Strong time management and ability to work autonomously.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability to commit to approximately 20 hours per week.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Current Queensland Open Driver’s Licence.
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• Smartphone is required.
• National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain.

Dementia and Aged Care Services (DACS) is a progressive organisation committed to supporting older Australians to live independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes and communities.

We are seeking passionate Community Support Assistants to join our community care team on a casual basis for our Central Coast (south) location. This role supports aged care clients aged 65 years and above within their own homes, delivering services with a strong person-centred care approach.

You will play a meaningful role in enabling clients to remain engaged in their community while maintaining independence and wellbeing.
