Job summary

Dementia and Aged Care Services (DACS) is seeking Community Support Assistants to join the Gunnedah (New England) team on a casual basis. You will support clients aged 65+ at home, delivering person-centred care and enabling participation in the community.

Role emphasizes independence, wellbeing, and compassionate service delivery. Requires a Certificate III in Aged Care/Individ. Support, time management, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or Community Care (essential).
• Experience supporting older people in a community setting.
• Good time management and ability to work autonomously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability for approx. 20 hours per week.
• Current First Aid & CPR, licence and vehicle with insurance.
• National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain.

Dementia and Aged Care Services (DACS) is a progressive organisation committed to supporting older Australians to live independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes and communities.

We are seeking passionate Community Support Assistants to join our community care team on a casual basis for our Gunnedah (New England)location. This role supports aged care clients aged 65 years and above within their own homes, delivering services with a strong person-centred care approach.

You will play a meaningful role in enabling clients to remain engaged in their community while maintaining independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or Community Care (essential)
• Previous experience supporting older people in a community setting
• Strong time management and ability to work autonomously
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Availability to commit to approximately 20 hours per week
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Current Open Driver's Licence
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Smart phone
• National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
