Job summary

MedHealth is seeking a Speech Pathologist to support participants across the Nowra and Wollongong region, with opportunities to work close to home depending on location. Join a multidisciplinary team delivering community-based services to enhance communication, independence and well-being.

The role offers weekly supervision, mentoring, and tailored professional development within Ability Action Australia & MedHealth, with a mix of home visits, community outreach, and access to office/clinic

Qualifications

• Current SPA membership required.
• Passionate about community-based support for people with disability.
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied, community-based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings.
• Work with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults.
• Support a range of needs such as feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC.
• Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop meaningful, participant-centered goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy that builds communication, participation and independence.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes.
• Caseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and professional goals.
