Job summary

MidCoast Council in NSW is seeking a Program Coordinator to support community recovery and build resilience after the 2025 flood events. This is a two-year fixed-term, full-time role based at the Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya, Taree, with duties spanning planning to delivery.

You will coordinate recovery projects, administer the Community Flood Recovery and Resilience Grants Program, manage budgets and reporting, and run community workshops and consultations with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in community development, recovery or resilience.
• Proven ability to coordinate projects and deliver outcomes.
• Ability to listen, build trust and manage diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recovery projects from planning through delivery.
• Administer the Community Flood Recovery and Resilience Grants Program.
• Manage budgets and reporting for recovery initiatives.
• Facilitate community workshops, activities and consultations.
• Bring recovery partners together and connect community with resources across Council.
