Job summary

BlueCare in Maryborough/Hervey Bay is seeking a Physiotherapist to deliver holistic, community-based care across the Rockhampton and Yeppoon catchment. You will assess movement, design care plans, and work with clients to improve independence and quality of life.

The role requires AHPRA registration, tertiary physiotherapy qualifications, and prior aged care or community experience. A drivers licence and access to a vehicle are essential for mobility and client visits.

Qualifications

• Tertiary physiotherapy degree with current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in aged care or community settings is preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are current.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, assess and develop care plans for individuals and groups.
• Prescribe and select appropriate adaptive equipment and modifications.
• Educate clients and carers on therapy approaches.
• Set goals and manage discharge and follow-up plans.
• Liaise with GPs, nurses and therapists to coordinate care.
