Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Employment Consultant to joining the Inclusive Employment Australia program in Maitland and surrounding areas. You will build supportive relationships with participants, help with resumes and interview skills, and advocate with local employers to create sustainable employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in employment services or customer-facing roles.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Driver's licence and own car required.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive, motivating relationships with IEA participants.
• Help participants prepare resumes, job applications and interview skills.
• Connect with local employers, identify opportunities and advocate for participants.
• Provide ongoing support once someone starts work.
• Make referrals to training providers, allied health and community services.
• Keep accurate records to ensure quality support.
