Job summary

Kempsey Shire Council is hiring a Parking Warden to patrol public spaces, promote safe parking, and educate residents and visitors on parking rules. You will work with Rangers to enforce legislation while maintaining excellent customer service and professional interactions.

The role involves a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, with a strong focus on community safety and accessibility. A Class C licence and knowledge of Australian Road Rules are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
• Knowledge of Australian Road Rules.
• SEINS training completed or able to obtain quickly.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to apply legislation and policies fairly.
• Willingness to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct parking patrols and monitor compliance on roads and car parks.
• Educate and inform the public on parking requirements.
• Respond to parking inquiries and represent Council professionally.
• Collaborate with Rangers and Compliance Officers in enforcement.
• Share on-call duties and cover shifts as rostered.
