Job summary

Village Baranduda is seeking a dynamic Community Leader to join as Educational Leader and Assistant Director. You will mentor educators, support daily Centre operations, and promote quality practice alongside a fellow Community Leader.

The role focuses on Education Program and Practice and Educator Engagement, ensuring strong learning outcomes and team cohesion. The ideal candidate holds a degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, WWC clearance, and leadership experience in Early Childhood

Qualifications

• A Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognized institution, as outlined by ACECQA.
• Valid Working with Children Check.
• Accredited training in emergency response, including anaphylaxis and asthma management.
• Child Protection training certification.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience in Early Childhood Services or 5 years in the field.
• Ability to lead and mentor teams, develop curriculums, manage administration, and liaise with parents/communities.
• Understanding WHS legislation and CCS, and knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
• Willingness to assume Nominated Supervisor role under national laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor educators and support the Centre Manager.
• Oversee administration assistants, cooks, and cleaners in absence of the Manager.
• Oversee Quality Area 1: Education Program and Practice, and Educator Engagement.
• Ensure excellence in learning outcomes and team cohesion.
• Liaise with parents and communities and develop curriculums.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive, experienced team where you’ll work alongside another Community Leader in a dual Educational Leader and Assistant Director role. Together, you’ll lead quality practice, mentor educators, support the day-to-day operations of the Centre, and make a meaningful impact on children, families, and your team every day.

You will play a vital role in leading and mentoring our team of educators and supporting the Centre Manager. In their absence, you will report to the Area Manager and oversee direct reports such as administration assistants, cooks, and cleaners. Your main accountability will span Quality Area 1: Education Program and Practice, and Educator Engagement, ensuring excellence in learning outcomes and team cohesion.

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced leader to take on this pivotal role. The ideal candidate will possess:
