Job summary

Shellharbour City Council is seeking a Community Facilities Manager to lead the operation and maintenance of our community facilities, including the marina foreshore, building services, city presentation and cemeteries. Based at the Oak Flats Services Depot, you will drive delivery of major projects, manage contracts and lead a team to deliver safe, welcoming spaces for residents.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in engineering, project management, or construction management.
• Proven experience in managing diverse teams and operational functions.
• Strong project management and financial management skills.
• Ability to implement and review quality management systems and safety plans.
• Current Class C NSW Driver’s License and relevant safety certifications.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders and lead projects to meet community needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee marina foreshore maintenance.
• Oversee building maintenance works and operational contracts for various services.
• Implement and oversee maintenance and improvement programs for city presentation, including cleaning facilities.
• Manage Council’s customer focused cemeteries to meet community needs and regulations.
• Coordinate resources and manage budgets for operational activities.
• Lead and support direct reports in their responsibilities and development.
• Participate in emergency response activities and represent the team at meetings.
