Job summary

Shellharbour City Council is seeking a Community Facilities Manager to oversee marina foreshore and building maintenance while improving city presentation and cemetery management. You will coordinate resources, manage budgets, and lead a team to deliver safe, high-quality community facilities.

The role requires strong project and financial management skills, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to safety and sustainability within a dynamic council environment.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in engineering, project management, or construction management or substantially commenced.
• Proven experience in managing diverse teams and operational functions.
• Strong project management and financial management skills.
• Ability to implement and review quality management systems and safety plans.
• Current Class C NSW Driver’s License and relevant safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee marina foreshore maintenance.
• Oversee building maintenance works and operational contracts for various services.
• Implement and oversee maintenance and improvement programs for city presentation, including cleaning community facilities.
• Manage Council’s customer focused cemeteries to meet community needs and regulations
• Coordinate resources and manage budgets for operational activities.
• Lead and support direct reports in their responsibilities and professional development.
• Participate in emergency response activities and represent the team at relevant meetings.
