Job summary

Griffith City Council is seeking a Community Events Compliance Coordinator to oversee event compliance, approvals, bookings and regulatory processes within the Griffith Local Government Area.

You will guide event organisers on obligations, coordinate approvals, and ensure all documents are submitted and approved prior to events, acting as a facilitator and compliance advisor rather than an event organiser.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Event Management, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event approvals and compliance for Griffith events, ensuring safety and legality.
• Provide guidance to event organisers on obligations and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external approvals and ensure documentation is submitted and approved before events proceed.
• Act as facilitator, coordinator and compliance advisor for community events.
