Job summary

Griffith City Council is seeking a Community Events Compliance Coordinator to be the central point of contact for events within the Griffith Local Government Area. The role coordinates approvals, compliance, venue bookings and regulatory requirements to deliver events safely, legally and efficiently.

You will support event organisers, help them understand obligations, coordinate internal and external approvals, and ensure all required documentation is submitted and approved before events

Qualifications

• The successful applicant will have a Certificate IV or Diploma in Event Management, Business Administration, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Must hold a current Class C Australian Driver Licence.
• You are a collaborative team player who communicates openly and builds strong relationships to support the community.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event approvals, compliance, venue bookings and regulatory processes for Griffith events.
• Guide event organisers on obligations and document submission before events proceed.
• Serve as facilitator, coordinator and compliance adviser to ensure safe, legal events.
