Brisbane City Council is seeking a Community Engagement Officer to shape Council's projects by advocating for good community outcomes and informing and engaging the community from planning through delivery.

You will work across a diverse portfolio, plan, deliver and evaluate engagement activities, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders while supporting informed decisions. This is a temporary full-time role located at Brisbane Square within Governance and Legal Services.

Qualificações

• Understanding of communication and community engagement in a local government context.
• Experience developing communication and engagement strategies and plans (online and in person), including audiences, messages and methods.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders in a customer-focused environment.
• Project management skills, including meeting deadlines, producing materials, and reporting outcomes.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, deliver and evaluate communication and engagement activities across projects.
• Act as the first point of contact for project teams, stakeholders and community members.
• Identify engagement risks and opportunities to inform decision-making; report on outcomes.
