Job summary

Monash University in Victoria is seeking a part-time Community Engagement Officer to support the RISE project within the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. This 12-month fixed-term appointment reports to the Chief Investigator and offers exposure to a world-class research environment.

You will build partnerships with communities, coordinate participant recruitment, deliver workshops and communications, and manage project administration with a focus on privacy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of relevant experience.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to manage project priorities.
• Demonstrated commitment to stakeholder and consumer engagement, with excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel to rural communities across Australia as required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with community organisations, participants, and consumers with lived experience.
• Coordinate participant recruitment, retention, and Community Advisory Group/co-design activities.
• Plan and deliver community-focused communication and knowledge translation activities, including workshops, newsletters, and community forums.
• Manage project administrative processes, data input/analysis, and report generation in line with privacy and compliance standards.
