Job summary

A W Edwards Pty Limited is recruiting for a Community Coordinator to support two State Significant data centre projects in Sydney. This hands‑on role focuses on day‑to‑day communications, stakeholder engagement and community relations across multiple sites.

Reporting to the Senior Communications and Community Manager, you’ll work with project teams, clients, contractors and community members to inform stakeholders and manage project impacts while maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations or related field, plus at least 3 years' experience in communications or community engagement.
• Experience working on infrastructure, construction or complex projects.
• Experience preparing communications materials and handling community enquiries and sensitive issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Ability to identify emerging issues and advise practical responses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver communications and stakeholder engagement activities aligned with project requirements.
• Prepare community notifications, newsletters, updates and presentations, including construction impacts.
• Build and maintain relationships with residents, businesses, groups, clients, contractors and government.
• Plan and facilitate stakeholder meetings, site visits and events.
• Manage inquiries and complaints, coordinate with teams to investigate and resolve issues.
• Identify risks and recommend mitigation measures to minimise impacts.
• Maintain records and generate regular reports on engagement activities.
• Provide engagement advice to project teams and support audits and continuous improvement.
