Job summary

A W Edwards in Sydney is seeking an experienced Community and Social Impact Coordinator to support NSW Government projects. You will manage day-to-day communications, stakeholder engagement and community relations for the project.

The role focuses on workforce development, diversity and Aboriginal participation, with collaboration across project teams, subcontractors and government agencies. A White Card and stakeholder engagement training are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in communications and community engagement for large infrastructure projects.
• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and community enquiries.
• Experience monitoring workforce development data and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver project communications and stakeholder engagement activities, including notifications, newsletters, e-updates, fact sheets, presentations and other communications materials.
• Communicate construction activities, project changes, timeframes and potential impacts to affected stakeholders.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with residents, businesses, community groups, clients, subcontractors, councils, government agencies and other stakeholders.
• Plan and facilitate stakeholder meetings, community forums, site visits and project events.
• Manage enquiries, complaints and sensitive stakeholder matters, coordinating with project teams to investigate and resolve issues within required timeframes.
• Support workforce development and participation initiatives by monitoring subcontractor performance, tracking KPIs and contractual commitments, and coordinating data collection, reporting and compliance activities.
