About the client:

Rex Minerals is an Australian mining company dedicated to the development of its flagship A$1.0B Copper-Gold Hillside Project located on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. The project will be a significant contributor to the South Australian economy and will provide employment opportunities for locals and for those looking to move to the area.

About the role:

With site activities ramping up Rex Minerals is looking to bring on board a Community Engagement Advisor to lead and implement engagement strategies across a diverse range of stakeholders in and around the Hillside Project region.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building respectful, transparent, and sustained relationships with Aboriginal communities and corporations, local landholders, and regional community groups.

This role requires someone with a deep understanding of community dynamics, strong interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to navigate sensitive issues with integrity and professionalism.

Experience required:

• Relevant qualifications in community engagement, or a related field,
• Previous experience as an engagement advisor in mining, construction, or energy contexts.
• Proven track record (5+ years) in community engagement, stakeholder relations, or similar, preferably in the mining, natural resources, or infrastructure sectors.
• Demonstrated experience working effectively and respectfully with Aboriginal corporations, Traditional Owner groups, and culturally diverse communities.
• Experience engaging with rural landholders and regional community groups.
