Job summary

Royal Rehab seeks a casual Community Disability Support Worker for the Raymond Terrace area. You will work in the community, supporting individuals with daily living activities, education, employment, and community connections, with open availability for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Accessing the community for shopping, appointments and day-to-day activities.
• Participation in activities such as cooking, art, outdoor activities and excursions.
• Engagement in social events and transportation support.
• Meal preparation and in-home supports, including personal care.
• Provide goal-focused supports for activities, programs and community supports.
• Report writing including daily case notes.
• Promote independence, dignity and choice in a safe, structured environment.

About the role…

We're seeking a casual team member to join our wonderful Raymond Terrace team, someone who has open availability. With flexibility to adapt to the needs of the individuals we support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Accessing the community for shopping, appointments and day-to-day activities
• Participation in a range of scheduled activities such as cooking, art, outdoor physical activities and excursions
• Engagement in social events
• Transportation assistance where required
• Meal preparation and other simple in-home supports
• Responsible for all aspects of personal care.
• Providing goal focused supports for activities, Programs, community supports.
• In home supports
• Transport and travel
• Supports related to specific health needs
• Report writing including daily case notes
• Your role will go beyond daily care - you will be instrumental in promoting independence, dignity, and choice, while maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
