Job summary

PCYC Queensland is seeking a passionate Community Development Officer to support the delivery of crime prevention, social engagement and youth development programs at Deception Bay, QLD. You will help implement initiatives and work with staff and volunteers to achieve outcomes.

The role supports staff development, requires a diploma in youth work or similar, and a minimum of three years in community programs. A driver's licence is essential, and safeguarding is a priority.

Qualifications

• Diploma in youth work or related qualification.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in social and community programs.
• Ability to supervise and develop staff and volunteers.
• Experience working with people of all ages and abilities.
• Must hold a current driver's licence.

Your New Role

The Community Development Officer will be responsible for the implementation, delivery and ongoing management of a range of crime prevention, social engagement and youth development programs.

About You

• Minimum Diploma of youth work or a relevant qualification in the area of practice
• Minimum 3 years' experience in social and community programs
• Ability to effectively supervise and develop staff and volunteers
• Demonstrated experience working with people of all ages and physical attributes
• Hold a current driver's licence
