Job summary

Mallee Accommodation & Support Program (MASP) is seeking a driven Community Connections Worker to join the Youth & Families team in Mildura. You will support young people transitioning from care to build housing stability, education and employment pathways, with a focus on tenancy support and community partnership development.

This role involves working within a values-driven organisation that prioritises wellbeing, supervision and flexible arrangements where possible.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Welfare, Youth Work, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with young people experiencing disadvantage and with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of challenges facing young people leaving care, including housing, education, employment and community participation.
  • Understanding of out-of-home care, child protection and youth justice systems and legislation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to MASP's values and client-centred approach

Responsibilities

This role can involve emotionally demanding situations and exposure to psychological hazards, including client distress, trauma disclosures, and urgent responses. MASP prioritises staff wellbeing by providing supervision, debriefing, reflective practice, safety measures, and access to wellbeing resources. We encourage open communication—raise any concerns with your supervisor, management, or the OHS Committee as soon as possible.

Remuneration

Expected commencing salary of $82,415.00 per annumplus statutory superannuation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
