Job summary

Wesley Mission Queensland invites caring individuals to join our Community Aged Care team in Hervey Bay and surrounds. Deliver compassionate support with personal care, domestic assistance, and transport to appointments, while aligning with care plans and team goals.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent).
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence and comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Probity checks as per WMQ policy and legislation.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meals.
• Support clients with domestic tasks including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and meal prep.
• Provide social and community support and assist with transport to appointments or shopping.
• Follow clients’ care plans and report changes in wellbeing to the Coordinator/Case Manager.
• Contribute ideas to improve services and teamwork.

Job description

Your Role as Care Worker

You’ll deliver this role by:

• Assist clients with personal care, hygiene, showering, mobility, and meals
• Support clients with domestic tasks, including house cleaning, laundry, ironing, and meal prep
• Provide social and community support and assist with transport to appointments or shopping
• Follow clients’ care plans and report changes in wellbeing to the Coordinator/Case Manager
• Contribute ideas to improve services and teamwork

Location – Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Surrounding Suburbs and the ability to travel to Bundaberg when needed

Must hold a minimum Green P Plate (Australian Drivers Licence)
