Job summary

Wesley Mission Queensland in Australia is seeking a Care Worker to support clients with personal care, domestic tasks, and social engagement. You will follow care plans, report wellbeing changes, and contribute to a collaborative team in a not-for-profit community aged care setting.

The role offers flexible working hours across Chermside and surrounding suburbs, with an emphasis on dignity, compassion, and person-centred care. A current driver’s licence and an insured vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• Must hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Probity checks as per WMQ policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, hygiene, showering, mobility, and meals.
• Support clients with domestic tasks including house cleaning, laundry, ironing, and meal prep.
• Provide social and community support and assist with transport to appointments or shopping.
• Follow clients’ care plans and report changes in wellbeing to the Coordinator/Case Manager.
• Contribute ideas to improve services and teamwork.

Your Role as Care Worker

You’ll deliver this role by:

Must be available Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 6am and hold a minimum Green P Plate (Australian Drivers Licence)
