Are you passionate about working with communities to reduce bushfire risk and build resilience?

Join CFA as a Community Based Bushfire Management (CBBM) Facilitator and play a key role in delivering a collaborative, community-centred approach to managing local bushfire risk.

In this dynamic role, you'll apply community development principles to address place-based bushfire challenges. You'll build and maintain strong relationships across communities, fire agencies, and local government, empowering communities to identify opportunities and take collective action on local bushfire priorities.

Working across community and agency networks, you'll facilitate collaboration to build a shared understanding of local risks, strengths, and priorities and strengthen partnerships that deliver meaningful outcomes, with a focus on evidence-based and nature-based approaches to risk reduction and bushfire resilience.

You will be part of the regional Community Safety team, as well as the broader state-wide, multi-agency Community First program, supporting the delivery of Victoria's Bushfire Management Strategy.

Requirements:

• Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours (including some evenings and weekends) to engage with volunteers and community groups.
• Some regional travel is required (a CFA vehicle will be provided).
• A current driver's licence is essential.
