Job summary

Country Fire Authority (CFA) is seeking a Community Based Bushfire Management (CBBM) Facilitator to deliver a community-centred approach to managing local bushfire risk. The role focuses on building partnerships across communities, fire agencies and local government to empower action on priorities.

Based in Wangaratta, Shepparton or Wodonga, the position offers hybrid work options with ongoing (PT/FT) employment and a salary of AU$96,887 plus 12% Superannuation.

Qualifications

• Current driver's licence is essential.
• Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours (including some evenings and weekends).
• Some regional travel is required (a CFA vehicle will be provided).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with communities, fire agencies and local government to identify opportunities and take collective action on local bushfire priorities.
• Facilitate collaboration across community and agency networks to develop shared understanding of local risks, strengths and priorities.
• Support delivery of Victoria's Bushfire Management Strategy through the Community First program.
