Job summary

Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a Creative Communications and Engagement Officer to drive strategic communications across media, digital channels, and community engagement efforts. You will deliver internal communications, respond to media inquiries, and create engaging content for our social media and website.

You will design on-brand publications using Adobe tools, capture photography and video, and assist with community consultation initiatives and civic events.

Qualifications

• Must have tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media, Marketing, or related discipline, or demonstrated contemporary experience in a corporate communications or media role.
• Proven copywriting, editing and storytelling across multiple mediums including media releases, publications and features.
• Experience managing website CMS platforms and corporate social media channels, with basic photography and multimedia editing skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including InDesign and Photoshop, to design on-brand collateral.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with communities, teams and external media.
• Current Class C Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities
