Job summary

In this role, you’ll:

Be part of the Strategic Communications team, delivering high-quality communications for complex, high-profile programs that help translate Transport’s enterprise priorities into clear, audience-led communications.

This role will see you develop and implement end-to-end communication plans for strategic initiatives, like The Connecting NSW strategy, working across divisions, agencies and specialist teams.

You’ll also work across crisis and emergency communications, supporting Transport’s preparedness and response arrangements through partnerships with NSW Government agencies, federal counterparts and internal teams. You’ll help develop and maintain the frameworks, relationships and communication approaches needed to respond efficiently and effectively during emergencies and crises.

You’ll provide trusted strategic advice and use strong project management skills to navigate ambiguity, coordinate multiple workstreams and deliver outcomes across Transport and government.

About you

You are a strategic communications professional with demonstrated experience managing complex projects from planning through to delivery. You are comfortable working in ambiguity, quickly understanding unfamiliar issues, identifying the right expertise and driving work forward.

You have project management experience and can confidently coordinate stakeholders, manage dependencies and deliver major initiatives with high visibility.

You have experience planning and delivering organisational livestreams or comparable high-profile events involving senior leaders and enterprise-wide audiences. You can manage content development, speaker preparation, logistics, run sheets and cross-team delivery to create an engaging and seamless experience.

You build strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders, government agencies and internal delivery teams. You bring sound judgement, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide clear, practical communications advice.

The team hub for this role is located in Sydney CBD and there’s the expectation that the successful candidate can commit to our 50% workplace presence requirements.
