Job summary

Webuild Australia (Webuild, Clough and e2o) is seeking a Communications, Community & Stakeholder Engagement Manager to deliver social value, community investments and stakeholder strategies from Sydney. You will lead partnerships, measure outcomes and support ESG commitments across major infrastructure projects.

The role requires deep experience in community and stakeholder engagement, tendering input and strategic advisory to project teams.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years' experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, social impact or sustainability.
• Experience on major infrastructure, construction, resources or government projects.
• Experience developing and implementing engagement strategies.
• Experience supporting major tenders and business development activities.
• Experience presenting to executive stakeholders, clients and external audiences.

• Lead delivery of community partnerships, grants, sponsorships, volunteering programs and social value projects.
• Establish frameworks to measure and report community outcomes and project legacy benefits.

• Lead tender responses relating to Community and Stakeholder Engagement, Social License to Operate, and Community Benefits.
• Provide strategic support to project communications and engagement teams across the portfolio.

The Role:

Communications, Community & Stakeholder Engagement Manager based in Sydney Based in Sydney the role responsibilities include;

Community

Develop and manage Webuild Australia's corporate community investment and social impact strategy.

Lead the delivery of community partnerships, grants, sponsorships, volunteering programs and social value projects.

Establish frameworks to measure and report community outcomes, social value and project legacy benefits.

Support the business in delivering ESG commitments related to community engagement, social sustainability and social procurement.

Identify opportunities to strengthen Webuild's reputation and contribution to local communities across Australia and New Zealand.

Drive continuous improvement and innovation in community engagement and social impact practices.

Stakeholder Engagement

Provide expert advice on stakeholder engagement and community relations matters across all phases of project delivery.

Develop engagement strategies and stakeholder management plans for major infrastructure projects.

Advise project teams on stakeholder risks, emerging issues and mitigation strategies.

Support the management of sensitive stakeholder issues and reputational risks.

Tendering and Business Development

Lead the development of tender responses relating to:

Community and Stakeholder Engagement

Social License to Operate

Community Benefits and Legacy

Work closely with estimating, bid and business development teams during pursuits and tenders.

Develop innovative engagement and social value commitments that strengthen the company's competitive position.

Participate in client interviews, workshops and tender presentations.

Present Webuild's approach to community engagement, stakeholder management and social impact directly to clients and procurement panels.

Monitor emerging client requirements and industry trends to inform future bid strategies.

Project Support and Mobilisation

Provide strategic support to project communications and engagement teams across the portfolio.

Where required, mobilise to major projects to establish stakeholder and community engagement functions.

Facilitate knowledge sharing and lessons learned across projects.

Governance and Capability Development

Develop corporate policies, frameworks, procedures and toolkits for community and stakeholder engagement.

Ensure consistent implementation of engagement best practice across all projects.

Maintain awareness of legislation, regulatory requirements and industry best practice.

Requirements

Minimum 10-15 years' experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, social impact, sustainability or public affairs.

Demonstrated experience working on major infrastructure, construction, resources or government projects.

Proven experience developing and implementing community and stakeholder engagement strategies.

Experience supporting major tenders and business development activities.

Experience presenting to executive stakeholders, clients and external audiences.

Strong understanding of social license, social impact and stakeholder risk management.

• Degree in Communications, Community Development, Public Policy, Sustainability, Social Science, Public Relations or related discipline.
