Job summary

Central Coast Council is seeking a Communication Officer to protect and enhance the Council’s reputation through high-quality communication and public relations. You will plan and deliver strategies across channels, ensuring messages are clear, aligned with strategic direction and accessible to diverse audiences.

You will work under the Team Leader Strategic Communications, preparing campaigns, reporting outcomes and providing excellent customer service to the community.

Qualifications

• Degree or demonstrated solid experience in a similar role with ongoing professional development.
• Experience in media relations, public relations communications, and marketing.
• Corporate communications and working with the media.
• Proven ability to develop and produce a broad range of communication projects with objectives and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, construct and report on a wide range of Council services and activities across channels.
• Deliver communication strategies that engage internal and external audiences and align with the organisation's direction.
• Provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
