Northern Beaches Council is seeking a Communications Officer to join the Community Engagement & Communications unit. This permanent, full-time role (35 hours/week with an option for a 9-day fortnight) supports planning, executing and evaluating marketing and communications across channels to inform residents and visitors about council services, events and initiatives.

You will write and edit engaging content, manage email campaigns, coordinate approvals, and help build strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in communications, public relations or marketing.
• Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills across channels.
• Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms.
• Experience using content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills to manage workflows and deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Support planning, delivery and evaluation of marketing and communications campaigns.
• Deliver high-quality communications across paid, earned and owned channels.
• Write and edit engaging content for news, website, social media and email marketing.
• Coordinate content approvals, schedules, database updates and reporting.
• Design, optimise and deliver email campaigns and use analytics to improve performance.
• Build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
• Support planning and production of video content and coordinating photography and design collateral.
• Monitor, measure and report on campaign performance and identify improvements.
