Job summary

Central Coast Council NSW seeks a Communications Officer to drive public relations and engagement across internal and external audiences. You will plan and report on Council services through multiple channels, delivering campaigns that support the organisation's strategic direction and enhance community value.

The role offers a 9-day fortnight, hybrid work (2 days from home, 3 onsite) and progression opportunities up to the maximum salary with 12% superannuation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Communications, Media, Marketing or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, with ongoing professional development.
• Experience in media relations, public relations communications, marketing.
• Corporate communications and/or working with the media.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and producing a broad range of communication projects with defined objectives and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, construct and report on a wide range of Council services and activities across multiple channels.
• Deliver communication strategies to engage internal and external audiences and align with the organisation's strategic direction.
• Provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
