Job summary

Mercure Sydney Blacktown is seeking a Part Time Commis Chef to join our kitchen team, focusing on breakfast service and food prep for the hotel buffet and the Distrikt Cafe. You will take ownership of breakfast service, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation, while supporting with stock management and supplier coordination in a busy hotel environment.

The role involves assisting with group dinners, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and aiding the General Manager with orders

Responsibilities

• Full ownership and operation of the kitchen including breakfast service whilst on shift.
• Ensure the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality are maintained.
• Preparing, cooking and serving breakfast for the hotel buffet
• Preparing food for Distrikt Cafe and our all-day dining menu
• Assisting with group dinners as required
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of ingredients.
• Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and all dishes are washed at the end of each shift
• Assisting the General Manager with food orders and stock management
• Overseeing kitchen attendant as required

Mercure Sydney Blacktown is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Part Time Commis Chef to join our team of inspired hospitality professionals. You will be working mainly the breakfast shift, preparing & serving food for the hotel buffet breakfast and food prep for our all-day dining menu and Distrikt Cafe.
