Job summary

Mercure Sydney Blacktown, part of Accor, is seeking a Part Time Commis Chef to join our breakfast-focused kitchen team. You will lead breakfast service on shift and prepare dishes for the hotel buffet and Distrikt Cafe, delivering quality and consistency.

Ideal candidates will have buffet breakfast service experience, strong communication, and a proactive attitude. This role offers onsite parking and a friendly team in Western Sydney.

Qualifications

• Experience in buffet breakfast service/lunch service preferred.
• Deliver consistent, high quality food while maintaining set food cost.
• Work with service teams to ensure quality product and guest satisfaction.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership and operation of the kitchen including breakfast service whilst on shift.
• Ensure the highest standards of food preparation, presentation and quality.
• Preparing, cooking and serving breakfast for the hotel buffet
• Preparing food for Distrikt Cafe and our all-day dining menu
• Assisting with group dinners as required
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ingredients.
• Keep the kitchen clean and all dishes washed at shift end
• Assist the General Manager with food orders and stock management

Job Description

Mercure Sydney Blacktown is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Part Time Commis Chefto join our team of inspired hospitality professionals. You will be working mainly the breakfast shift, preparing & serving food for the hotel buffet breakfast and food prep for our all-day dining menu and Distrikt Cafe.

What you will be doing:

• Full ownership and operation of the kitchen including breakfast service whilst on shift.
• Ensure the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality are maintained.
• Preparing, cooking and serving breakfast for the hotel buffet
• Preparing food for Distrikt Cafe and our all-day dining menu

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of ingredients.
• Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and all dishes are washed at the end of each shift
• Assisting the General Manager with food orders and stock management

Qualifications
