Job summary

Greenbank Services Club is seeking a talented Commis Chef to join the catering team in Queensland. This full-time role supports the Catering Manager/Executive Chef and Senior Chefs across two kitchens, delivering high-quality dishes for award-winning dining experiences.

You will contribute to menu development, maintain food safety standards, and keep the kitchen efficient and well-organized. Competitive remuneration and staff benefits are offered in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Commercial Cookery qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen in a team.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Pride in delivery and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef and Senior Chefs in preparation, cooking and presentation across 2 kitchens.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Carry out allocated kitchen tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain clear communication with team and management.
• Participate in rotation of kitchen duties and responsibilities.
• Contribute ideas to develop and enhance menu offerings.
• Ensure a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen environment.
