Job summary

ibis Adelaide is seeking a committed Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You will be involved in cooking, baking and pastry tasks, and support food preparation for a range of services including breakfast and dinner. A strong eye for quality, cleanliness and presentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or trade recognition as Commis Chef is required or expected.

What You Will Be Doing

• Engaged in cooking, baking, pastry cooking or butchering duties.
• Food preparation and presentation with flair for breakfast, lunch and dinner for A la Carte, room service, functions and buffet service.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment whilst ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Having completed and apprenticeship and/or achieved trade recognition a Commis Chef works as part of the kitchen team.
• Creative and passionate about food and customer service
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to effectively manage time constrains
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player
