Job summary

Finconnex Financials is seeking an experienced Mortgage Broker to join the Sydney team. You will manage quality opportunities, structure complex transactions and build a rewarding long-term career within a growing brokerage.

You will provide strategic finance solutions across commercial property, property development, SMSF lending, equipment finance and residential/investment lending while working with an extensive panel of lenders. A Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in commercial lending, business banking or mortgage broking.
• Strong knowledge of commercial finance structures and lender credit policies.
• Ability to assess financial information and structure complex lending transactions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management or equivalent qualification.
• Attention to detail and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ financial objectives and lending requirements.
• Analyse financial statements, tax returns and servicing capacity.
• Structure tailored lending solutions across bank and non-bank lenders.
• Prepare and manage complex finance applications from enquiry to settlement.
• Present credit submissions with accurate financial analysis.
• Liaise with lenders, accountants, solicitors and other advisers.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout the process.
• Develop relationships with clients and referral partners.
• Identify opportunities to grow and diversify the lending portfolio.
• Maintain high standards of compliance and customer service.

The Role

You will provide strategic finance solutions across:

• Commercial property finance

• Investment Property lending

• Property development and construction finance

• Business acquisition and working-capital finance

• SMSF commercial property lending

• Equipment and asset finance

• Residential and commercial investment lending

• Private and non-bank lending solutions

Key Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ financial objectives and commercial lending requirements.

• Analyse financial statements, tax returns, servicing capacity and transaction feasibility.

• Structure tailored lending solutions across bank and non-bank lenders.

• Prepare and manage complex finance applications from initial enquiry through to settlement.

• Present strong credit submissions supported by accurate financial analysis.

• Liaise with lenders, accountants, solicitors, valuers and other professional advisers.

• Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout the lending process.

• Develop strong relationships with clients and referral partners.

• Identify opportunities to grow and diversify the commercial lending portfolio.

• Maintain high standards of compliance, accuracy and customer service.

About You

To succeed in this position, you will have:

• At least three years’ experience in commercial lending, business banking, credit assessment or mortgage broking.

• Strong knowledge of commercial finance structures and lender credit policies.

• Demonstrated ability to assess financial information and structure complex lending transactions.

• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.

• A Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management or an equivalent qualification.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to regulatory compliance.

• A proactive, professional and results-driven approach.

• The ability to manage multiple applications and priorities effectively.

• An established referral network or business-development experience will be highly regarded.
