Job summary

Mai-Wel Limited is seeking a Commercial Manager to provide strategic oversight of a diverse portfolio including property, infrastructure, ICT, and fleet. The role reports to the COO and focuses on achieving sustainable growth, risk mitigation and commercial excellence across multiple services.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive governance and procurement initiatives, and partner with stakeholders to enhance capabilities while delivering value for the community Mai-Wel serves.

Qualifications

• Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and ability to lead complex portfolios and improvements.
• Experience managing property, infrastructure, ICT, fleet, governance and risk functions.
• Strong commercial acumen with finance, budgeting, asset planning and performance management.
• Experience managing contracts, procurement, vendor relationships and external service providers.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills across levels.
• Experience establishing governance, risk, compliance and assurance frameworks.
• Ability to lead teams with accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Resilience, tenacity and solutions-focused in dynamic environments.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce or related field, or significant equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and optimisation of Mai-Wel's property, infrastructure, ICT and fleet portfolio.
• Deliver on strategic property portfolio with clear operational planning and cross-functional engagement.
• Oversee assets, infrastructure investment and technology services for sustainable growth.
• Lead ICT service delivery and management of external technology partners.
• Drive governance, risk, compliance and assurance activities for strong performance.
• Lead procurement, contract management and strategic supplier relationships.
• Identify and deliver continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
• Partner with stakeholders to strengthen governance, systems and capability.
