Qualifikationen

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commerce, Business or Law.
• Significant experience in commercial management within construction or modular infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing complex contracts, budgets, variations, claims and risks.
• Strong contract administration, cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and priorities.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.

About the Role:

The Commercial Director will lead the commercial management ensuring contractual compliance, financial performance, cost control and effective management of commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Working closely with project delivery, engineering, procurement and executive leadership teams, the role will oversee commercial strategies, contract administration, financial reporting and stakeholder relationships to support the successful delivery of data centre projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial & Contract Management: Lead commercial activities from tender through project completion, managing contracts, variations, claims, disputes, and contractual compliance.
• Financial Performance & Cost Control: Monitor budgets, costs, cash flow, revenue, margins, forecasting, and financial reporting while identifying and mitigating commercial risks.
• Procurement & Supply Chain: Develop procurement strategies, negotiate supplier/subcontractor agreements, and manage commercial risks relating to procurement, long-lead items, and subcontractor performance.
• Project Delivery & Risk Management: Partner with project teams to integrate commercial considerations into planning, manage cost/time impacts of changes, and mitigate risks related to scope, design, delays, and quality.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors; lead commercial negotiations and provide commercial advice to senior leadership.
• Tendering & Business Development: Support bids, pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial reviews for new projects.

About You:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commerce, Business, Law or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in commercial management within construction, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing or modular construction.
• Proven experience managing complex contracts, project budgets, variations, claims and commercial risks.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, cost control, financial forecasting and project commercial reporting.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams and managing multiple commercial priorities.
• Demonstrated negotiation, stakeholder management and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret project data and drive profitable outcomes.
