Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial management experience in major civil infrastructure or construction projects.
• Demonstrated success managing commercial functions on large-scale road, transport or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, claims management, procurement and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead all commercial aspects of the project from commencement through completion.
• Manage contract administration activities with contractual compliance and protection of Bielby's interests.
• Oversee forecasting, cost control, reporting, cash-flow management and financial performance.
• Lead variations, claims and commercial opportunities negotiations.
• Provide commercial guidance to delivery teams and senior management.
• Establish robust project controls, governance and reporting frameworks.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations, administration and performance.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks and develop value-maximising strategies.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Contribute to commercial strategies across NSW operations.

Building on over40 years of successful project delivery across roads, rail, water, resourcesand renewables, we are seeking an accomplished Commercial Manager tojoin our team and play a critical role in the delivery of a major $350M regionalroad restoration project.

Initially basedin Sydney before mobilising to project, this role presents an outstandingopportunity to lead the commercial function on a major infrastructure projectwhile contributing to Bielby's continued growth across New South Wales. Workingclosely with the Project Director and senior leadership team, you will beresponsible for protecting and maximising project performance through strategiccontract management, commercial leadership, risk management and stakeholderengagement.

What You'll Do
