Job summary

Bielby is seeking an Engineering Manager to join the Brisbane team, delivering major civil infrastructure across Queensland and interstate. You will shape bids during Precontracts and lead engineering delivery after award.

Based in Brisbane, you will influence projects from early development, coordinate with estimates and executives, and grow into project delivery leadership for large-scale programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• RPEQ or CPEng accreditation required.
• 15+ years of experience delivering major civil infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering inputs into major civil infrastructure tenders and pursuits.
• Develop construction methodologies, staging plans, temporary works solutions and project delivery strategies.
• Drive constructability reviews and identify innovative solutions that improve project outcomes.
• Partner with estimating and commercial teams to develop competitive and deliverable bid submissions.
• Assess technical risks and opportunities throughout bid development and project planning.
• Review design documentation and provide strategic engineering advice during tender stages.
• Participate in client presentations, workshops and tender interviews.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary pursuit teams.
• Transition into project delivery leadership following successful project award.
• Lead engineering governance, design management and project engineering teams during delivery phases.

Engineering Manager

Bielby isexperiencing a period of sustained growth, supported by a strong pipeline ofmajor infrastructure opportunities and continued expansion into new regions.Building on over 40 years of successful major project delivery, we are seekingan accomplished Engineering Manager to join our Brisbane-based team.

This rolepresents a unique opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager who enjoysinfluencing projects from the earliest stages of development. Initially focusedwithin our Precontracts team, you will play a key role in securing major civilinfrastructure projects across Queensland and interstate, contributingengineering expertise to bids valued at $300M+.

Workingclosely with estimating, commercial and executive leadership teams, you willdevelop winning engineering solutions, methodologies, staging strategies andconstructability plans that position Bielby for success. Upon successfulproject award, there will be an opportunity to transition into a project-based EngineeringManager role, leading engineering delivery on major civil infrastructureprojects in either metropolitan or regional locations.

This is anopportunity to help shape projects before they begin and then drive successfuloutcomes throughout delivery.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in CivilEngineering.
• RPEQ, CPEng or equivalentprofessional accreditation.
• 15+ years' experience deliveringmajor civil infrastructure projects.
• Extensive Design & Constructproject experience.
• Strong expertise inconstructability, temporary works, staging and project engineeringleadership.
• Experience contributing to majortenders and project pursuits.
• Strong understanding of road,bridge, transport and civil infrastructure delivery.
• Proven ability to leadmultidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong commercial acumen andunderstanding of project delivery risks.
• Excellent stakeholder engagementand communication skills.
