Job summary

Bielby is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Brisbane team, delivering major civil infrastructure projects. You will shape delivery strategies during precontracts and lead delivery teams on awarded works, ensuring safe, efficient and profitable project outcomes.

Reporting to project leadership, you will collaborate with bid, engineering and commercial teams to optimise tenders and execution plans, driving value and performance across safety, quality and schedule.

Qualifications

• 15+ years delivering major civil infrastructure projects.
• Extensive leadership experience on road, bridge, transport or major projects.
• Knowledge of Design & Construct project delivery environments.
• Experience contributing to tenders, bids or project pursuits.
• Strong construction methodology, planning, staging and execution expertise.
• Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Experience managing engineers, supervisors and project delivery personnel.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Construction Manager

Bielby is experiencing a period of sustained growth,supported by a strong pipeline of major infrastructure opportunities andcontinued expansion into new regions. Building on over 40 years of successfulmajor project delivery, we are seeking an accomplished Construction Manager to join our Brisbane-based team.

This role presents a unique opportunity for an experiencedConstruction Manager who enjoys influencing projects long before constructioncommences. Initially joining our Precontracts team, you will play a key role indeveloping winning delivery strategies, methodologies, resource plans andconstruction solutions for major civil infrastructure tenders valued at $300M+.

Working alongside bid teams, estimators, engineers andexecutive leadership, you will contribute to and, in some cases, lead majorproject pursuits, helping shape Bielby's future project portfolio. Followingthe successful award of a project, you will transition into a project-basedConstruction Manager position, leading the delivery function on majormetropolitan or regional infrastructure projects.

Reporting to a Project Manager or Project Director, you willtake ownership of construction delivery, with engineering, project delivery andsite teams working under your leadership to achieve outstanding projectoutcomes.
