Job summary

BHP Group in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Commercial Leader to steer the Owner's commercial function for a mega-project, with a team of 5–6 direct reports. You will shape contracting, procurement and commercial strategy, oversee EPCM performance, and drive value, governance and risk management across the project lifecycle.

The role requires senior leadership on major capital projects, strong stakeholder management and experience with diverse commercial models. Some site travel is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading commercial functions on major or mega-projects.
• Experience with EPC, EPCM, alliance, reimbursable and incentive-based models.
• Proven ability to manage contracts, claims and disputes at scale.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial leadership for a multi‑billion-dollar capital project.
• Lead and develop an Owner's Commercial Team of 5–6 direct reports.
• Develop and execute contracting, procurement and commercial strategies.
• Manage EPCM contract performance and governance with major contractors.
• Lead contract management, change management and dispute resolution.
• Drive value improvement, risk management and cost optimisation.
• Partner across Project Controls, Finance, Legal and Project Leadership.
